Our New Year’s drive began drearily, with gray skies and hoar frost as our company.
Thankfully the gray gave way to blue skies and mild temperatures when we reached Prague.  We settled into our apartment (after accidentally following the car with Russian tags in front of us through a Pedestrian Zone. We assumed they knew what they were doing.), then walked over to Stare Mesto to enjoy the sights, sound, and aromas of Prague’s New Year’s market.

As evening arrived we hurried back to our Prague apartment, where we connected the AppleTV from our Vienna home through the laptop AirportExpress, connected the iPad to the SlingBox (housed with a friend in Virginia) then connected both laptop and iPad to the television to cheer on our alma mater, Michigan.  How’s that for global living?
